Step 1: Open the Creation Page

  1. Sign in to Awareness.Market
  2. Click "Create Twin" in the navigation bar
  3. Or go directly to /login?callbackUrl=/twin

Step 2: Name Your Twin

Give your twin a meaningful name. For example:

  • "AI Code Reviewer" — a code review specialist
  • "Technical Writer" — a technical documentation assistant
  • "My Coding Buddy" — a personal programming partner

Tip: The name appears across all of your projects, so it helps teammates recognize what role this twin plays.

Step 3: Configure an Initial Role (Optional)

Pick a starting role, or leave it as a general-purpose assistant. Available options:

  • Code Assistant — code generation and review
  • Analyst — data analysis and visualization
  • Project Manager — project planning and coordination
  • Custom — define your own

Step 4: Start Your First Conversation

Once the twin is created, you can start talking to it right away:

You: "Our project uses PostgreSQL as the primary database,
     follows the CQRS pattern, and runs all queries through
     Elasticsearch. Please remember this architecture."

Twin: "Noted. The next time you bring up database queries,
      I will recommend Elasticsearch first and account for
      the consistency trade-offs that come with CQRS."

With every conversation, your twin learns your:

  • Technology choices
  • Coding style
  • Decision-making logic
  • Common mistakes

Step 5: Reuse It on Your Next Project

The next time you create a project:

  1. Select an existing twin → it automatically loads all of its accumulated knowledge
  2. Or import from a template → build on top of a public twin template
  3. Start talking; it already remembers all of your preferences

No need to teach it the same things twice.

Common Use Cases

Use Case 1: Code Review

You: "I wrote a database migration script.
     The code is in repo/migrations/001_schema.sql"

Twin: "I remember that a previous Postgres migration of yours
      used CASCADE DROP and caused an outage. Let me check
      whether the same risk applies here..."

Use Case 2: Onboarding onto a Project

New teammate: "How do I get up to speed on this project quickly?"

You: "Ask the twin. It remembers every architectural decision,
     every pitfall we hit, and the whole performance tuning history."

Twin: "Welcome! The defining characteristics of this project are...
      [walks through the full project knowledge base]"

Use Case 3: Automating Repetitive Tasks

Your twin has learned: "Before every deployment, you must:
  1. Run the schema migration check
  2. Validate the blocklist configuration
  3. Check nginx downstream health
  4. Reload the SSL certificates"

At the next deployment: "Twin, prepare a production deployment"
Twin: "Running the deployment checklist..." [executes automatically]

How to Back Up Your Twin

Your twin's knowledge is stored in Awareness Cloud and saved automatically after every conversation.

Export a twin (for sharing or backup):

  1. Open the twin's detail page
  2. Click "Export as Template"
  3. You get a JSON file that can be imported into another account

Import a twin:

  1. Go to /twin/import
  2. Upload the JSON file
  3. All of the twin's knowledge is immediately available
